Chadwick ½-Plate Field Camera

Chadwick with single Rapid Rectalinear
lens

Chadwick with stereo landscape lenses
For single or stereo use. A fine example of classic English craftsmanship from about 1890. This is a
½-plate field camera that accepts either a single or stereo lens board. The illustrations show this
camera with a single RR lens and with a matched pair of stereo Chadwick landscape lenses. The
complete outfit includes plate holders, a Chadwick stereo flap shutter and a Thornton-Pickard stereo
roller blind shutter. This particular camera outfit was found in a battered case retrieved from a
dumpster at a construction site in Manchester, England. These cameras are not often found in this
country.
